It began as a search for something that lasted.
For eighteen years he studied with the most respected teachers he could find, in Asia and the West. Three of them stood apart: a living Buddha, among the most revered lamas alive; a Dao master of extraordinary power; and the foremost master of Chinese medicine of his time. He watched all three do what looked impossible for others. With them he felt calmer and years younger for days, even weeks, where others gave him a few hours. Yet every time, the feeling faded and he was back where he had started.
All that time, he was far from well. For seven years he barely slept. His spine was out of alignment, and his legs were so weak that twenty steps up to a temple left them shaking. He lived on edge, avoided any confrontation and cut himself off from his friends. He tried every doctor, specialist and regime open to him. Even the living Buddha, who he believes saved his life, could not make him well.
Then came three strokes. The last left the right side of his body paralysed for a time, and for eight months he walked like an old man. His nervous system was shattered, and numbness ran through his arms and legs. He could not concentrate, he forgot things within seconds, and an hour's work took him four or five. A courier would ring ten times before he remembered to go down and open the door. Nothing he tried brought him back.
Until one day, lying in deep stillness, he experienced what he can only describe as lights of blue, silver and gold moving through him for three hours.
When it ended, he found his nervous system restored, his spine realigned, the old man's walk gone, his memory and concentration back. This time, it stayed. And the lights left him with the ability his work now rests on: to reach energy unlike any he had known, see what each kind does and place it precisely in another person, at any distance.
From then on, he turned the same energy on himself and did not stop at getting well. The fear that ruled him for years has gone, and his own energy has kept rising ever since.
He does not ask you to believe it. He tells it because it is how the work began.
