The Raised Game

Scholarships

The talent is yours. The support should be too.

Jonathan awards a small number of scholarships to young athletes with a real chance of turning professional, where cost would otherwise stand in the way. Scholars receive the same sessions as his members, given by Jonathan himself, free of charge.

Who can apply

  • You are 16 to 21, in any sport.
  • You are on the way to turning professional: in an academy, a development squad or a pathway programme, or close to your first contract.
  • A coach who knows your game will vouch for you.
  • Without a scholarship, support like this would be out of reach.
  • Under 18? Your parent or guardian gives written consent, joins your first call, can join any call after it and is copied on every message. Your doctor stays involved, and any academy medical team is informed.

What a scholarship gives

A full yearof Elevate.

Ten sessions a month for twelve months, eight planned and two whenever you need them, in two of the three areas, chosen by you: the mind and emotions, the body, and injuries and knocks. Everything is remote, so it fits around school, training and travel. Nothing is taken, injected or applied, and the work sits alongside your coach, your doctor and your medical team, never in place of them. You can stop at any time, and you will never be asked for a testimonial.

Why Jonathan does this

“Helping a young athlete break into professional sport means more to me than almost anything else I do. Too often the talent arrives long before the support. These places are my answer to that.”
